Zoran Dukic plays El Testament d’Amèlia

The fantastic Croatian guitarist Zoran Dukic plays El Testament d’Amèlia for Guitar arranged by Miguel Llobet (1878–1938) from Canciones populares Catalanas. This comes via D’Addario and their YouTube Channel. Beautiful playing as usual from Dukic with nicely shaped phrases and rubato. El Testament d’Amèlia was popularized in the greater guitar world by Segovia who frequently performed Llobet’s guitar transcription as encores. Of course, it was already a well-known folksong. The piece is from Llobet’s collection of Catalan folk songs. It’s all about melody in this one.
