The amazing Vietnamese guitarist Thu Le plays ensemble music with her daughters. These come from her great YouTube channel. Thu Le is a top notch player and it’s great to see her family is also so musical too. If you’re a kid at home during this pandemic wouldn’t it be amazing to have a parent like this! Their ensemble skills sound great. I’d be curious to learn how the kids learn guitar. A few years back I had the pleasure of meeting both Kazuhito and Kanahi Yamashita when I hosted his masterclass in Victoria. All of the Yamashita Family Quintet are amazing players. When I asked how the kids learned Kazuhito pretty much said that he just played ensemble music with them offering only very occasional tips or readjustments but mainly they just learned to play, listen and enjoy.
