Canadian-based guitarist Tariq Harb performs Prelude and a Danza from ‘Pasaje Abierto’ composed by Edín Solís (b. 1963). Tariq Harb teaches at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He graduated in Classic Guitar and Music Teaching from the University of Costa Rica. In 1991 he won The National Guitar Contest in Costa Rica and then went on to study classical guitar in Spain and France.Edín has been awarded Two Grammy Awards for Best Producer and Engineer in the album “Mundo” with Ruben Blades in 2002 and 2003. In Costa Rica the ACAM (Authors and Composers Association) awarded him as the Best Arranger in the year 2000 and as the Best Composer of Classical Music of 2007.
