Stefan Koim Plays Passacaglia by Bartolotti

Stefan Koim performs Passacaglia by Angelo Michele Bartolotti (1615-1682) on a Baroque guitar. This baroque guitar replica was made in 2015 by Sebastian Kneffel. This comes via Koim’s YouTube channel. Great playing here with all the ingredients that make Baroque guitar so interesting from strumming to cross string figuration. Excellent phrasing and rhythmic delivery by Koim. Angelo Michele Bartolotti was an Italian guitarist, theorbo player and composer. I’d be interested in arranging some of his music but it always sounds better to me on the original instrumentation with courses (sets of strings).
