Seyoung Park plays Etude No.1 by Villa-Lobos

I enjoy posting a few videos every month on youth guitarists both to support them and to see how the younger generation is approaching the instrument and culture. One of the youth I’ve featured before and here again is Korean guitarist Seyoung Park via her YouTube. Here’s she plays Villa-Lobos’ famous Etude No 1. I really like how she has found solutions to the guitar position and her straight forward but still musical approach.

The interesting thing about following youth guitarists is that we’ll likely be able to watch their development over longer periods of time from youth to adulthood.

  1. Très belle performance technique, sans faille mais cela manque d’âme…voir de chaleur. quoi que ce n’est pas le fort des pièces de Villa-Lobos. Bravo
