Pierre Bibault plays Calvario by Zad Moultaka

Pierre Bibault, Guitar

Pierre Bibault plays Calvario for guitar and electronics by Lebanese composer and pianist Zad Moultaka. This comes via the Paris Guitar Foundation and their YouTube channel. Directed by Augustin Pesnon, Filmed in Belgium, February 2016. This video presents excerpts from a 14 movements original piece depicting the parts of the passion and crucifixion of Jesus. Awesome setting, what kind of faculty or facility that is I do not know. Looks “heavy dude”. But the setting combined with the religious content, although effective, is pretty over the top. Anyway, This is Classical Guitar does not get into religious/philosophical debates! High quality playing and video!

Update: The setting is from an abandoned power plant in Belgium, pics here.
