Michael Kolk Plays Sonatina by Cyril Scott

Canadian guitarist Michael Kolk plays Sonatina by English composer Cyril Scott (1879–1970). This comes via Kolk’s YouTube Channel. As Kolk mentions, composed in 1927, this is Cyril Scott’s only piece for solo guitar. Guitar by Martin Blackwell. Audio and video by amazing Drew Henderson. The Sonatina for Guitar (1927) commissioned by Segovia was thought lost but republished by Angelo Gilardino via Bèrben Edizioni Musicali with one of Scott’s own paintings on the cover. Kolk is one of my favourite players so nothing but praise for the performance here!
