Marcin Dylla Plays Five Preludes by Villa-Lobos

Polish guitarist Marcin Dylla plays all five Preludes by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa Lobos (1887-1959). It’s great to have all the preludes in one video and by such a great musician. This comes via the Austin Classical Guitar Society and their YouTube.  Along with his world-wide touring schedule it looks like Dylla will be doing a stint as faculty artist-in-residence at the San Francisco Conservatory. The Preludes of Villa-Lobos were written in 1940 and were the last works he wrote for solo guitar placing them after the Etudes and Suite. Why he returned to guitar after so many years of not writing for it is unclear but we are lucky to have these beautiful works.
