Marcello Fantoni performs Tarantella Op.73, No.4 and Divertimento Op.209, No.2 by Ferdinando Carulli (1770-1841) on a period François René Lacôte, 1820 guitar. This comes via Edoardo Lambertenghi’s excellent YouTube channel. Exciting set and well performed by Fantoni with an abundance of energy. Everything about this performance brings Carulli to life. The combination of Fantoni’s extroverted articulation and rhythmic drive along with the plucky sound of the Lacôte are really working well.
