Tordilione by Carlo Calvi (c.1610-1670) from Intavolatura di chitarra e chitarriglia (1646). I arranged this work as a possible pairing with Canario by Calvi which is next in the book. This is a nice simple work with the second half being a variation of the first eight bars. Some fingering and ornamentation is discussed but the main thing is work on the phrasing of the melody. Calvi was an Italian guitarist and editor. Intavolatura di chitarra, e chitarriglia has instruction on tuning, reading tablature, and a nice collection of works for Baroque guitar. Here’s the YouTube Lesson Link if you want to watch it there.
