Lesson: Brouwer Etude No. 1 (Estudios Sencillos)

Lesson of the Week for Classical Guitar
Leo Brouwer’s Etude No. 1 from Estudios Sencillos via my YouTube Channel.
Sheet Music (complete etudes in one book) via amazon: Leo Brouwer Guitar Works

Cuban composer Leo Brouwer’s Etude No. 1 from Estudios Sencillos. This is a great study for the thumb as well as rhythm and dynamics. I play the study and then give a lesson on musical and guitar related ideas. I would place this at the early-intermediate level but beginners and advanced players can still get a lot from working on it. I’m planning to do lesson on every etude but it might take a few years! You can see more lesson videos at the lesson archive page or browse free sheet music.
