Leçon No.13 by Bosch (Free PDF)

Leçon No.13 by Jacques Bosch (1825 – 1895). From Méthode de guitare (1890). Free PDF sheet music and video lesson for classical guitar. The level is late-beginner, I recommend playing this near the end or after my Volume 2 method book.

Known by a few names, Jaime Felipe José Bosch (Catalan: Jaume Bosch i Renard) but popularly known in France as Jacques Bosch. He was a Catalan guitarist and composer established in Paris. His method is filled with nice little works such as this one. This Leçon (lesson or exercise) is a great opportunity to learn initial muting technique as well as utilizing a more active texture with basic first position chord progressions. Here’s the YouTube Lesson Link if you want to watch it there.

This is part of a collection of easy supplemental pieces after my free Classical Guitar Method Volume 1. or during my Classical Guitar Method Volume 2. I’m focusing on nice easy works without any oddities or awkward fingerings. The collection I’m forming will add a few extra pieces for students to play before they move on to my graded series or just for enjoyment and extra practice.
