Lección No.5, Book 2 by Sagreras (PDF, Lesson)

Lección No.5 by Julio Sagreras (1879–1942) for Classical Guitar. From his 2nd method Las Segundas Lecciones de Guitarra. PDF sheet music or tab for Classical Guitar. Left hand fingering. Early-Intermediate (Grade 4). PDF download.

Free PDF Sheet Music – Comes with both a notation-only and tab edition.

This is a great little work around the grade 4 level in E minor. This is an excellent study of bass line melody with the thumb. Think in terms of creating a cello-like legato melody on the bass strings. Use guide fingers at first but then carefully ease off to reduce string noise. Julio Salvador Sagreras (22 November 1879 – 20 July 1942) was an Argentine guitarist, pedagogue, and composer. His many lessons are contained in a multi-volume method book that includes numerous studies. Here’s my Youtube Lesson Link if you want to watch it there.

  1. I am similar to Carolann in that I played in my youth (30’s) but life got in the way. Four children later I am not retired and am 81. The guitar is the joy of my life and I play several hours most days. You are a precious resource and I appreciate your presence in the guitar world very much.

I may be on your list since I have purchased from you in the past.

  2. I really appreciate your lessons . Thank you so much for your generosity. I played classical guitar reasonably well in my twenties, then 3 kids, and life, got in the way. In my 70’s now and time, such a precious commodity, gives me someone like you to make me want to play again. Heartfelt thanks,
