South Korean guitarist Kyuhee Park plays Folia Variations by Miguel Llobet (1878-1938) [Variations on a Theme of Sor, op.15]. The theme of folia has inspired a number of works, including Fernando Sor’s Variations. Op. 15. Llobet borrows from this theme and the first variation of Sor and also adds eight more variations and a romantic Intermezzo. It’s an intense work and impressively played by Park.
