Katalin Koltai Plays Bartok

Katalin Koltai plays The Night’s Music (Az éjszaka zenéje) from Out of Doors (Szabadban) by Béla Bartók (1881-1945). This comes via Koltai’s YouTube channel. Out of Doors is a set of five piano solo pieces by Bartók written around 1926. Great playing here by Koltai with a contrasting and interesting soundscape. Nice playful snippets meet patient calm pacing. She’s using a single string capodaster that she invented (manufactured by Viktor Varga). Guitar built by Kazuo Sato.
