Jérémy Jouve Plays Sainz de la Maza

Jeremy Jouve Guitar

French guitarist Jérémy Jouve plays Rondena, Petenera, and Zapateado by Spanish guitarist and composer Regino Sainz de la Maza (1896–1981). This comes via Guitar Art Festival on their YouTube Channel. Jouve won GFA way back in 2003 when we was only 24 and his recent videos show a well seasoned player at work. Regino Sainz de la Maza is being played much more often these days and is always a pleasure to hear. Jouve has some great articulation and clean, driving rhythm. He really punches out the chord changes here but manages to keep the melodic work well phrased. Super impressive Zapateado. You can get the sheet music via Amazon: Musica para Guitarra.
