Samuel Bonnet has a new release of interesting Israeli Music for Guitar. Here’s a promo blurb, check it out:

The Montreal-based classical and jazz guitarist Samuel Bonnet just released a new CD entitled « Israeli Music fro Guitar » on his own label, Studio Acoustique Mobile. It is a collection of works for solo classical guitar written by three main Israeli contemporary composers: Ruben Seroussi, Israel Rashkovsky and Naftali Lahav. The result of many years of collecting and performing an Israeli and Jewish répertoire for classical guitar, the ten tracks CD contain original compositions (Canaan, Sonatina…) and arrangements of famous traditional Jewish and Sephardic songs (Arvolicos de Almandra, Yo m’enamori d’un aire…). A native of Israel, Samuel Bonnet grew up in France and now lives in Canada where he continues to perform jazz concerts and recitals internationally. During his concerts tours in Israel, he had the opportunity to meet these composers and take advantage of their advices, to better perform their music.

Sample available on SoundCloud.
The CD is available for download on iTunes and CDbaby.
