Before beginning my Volume 2 Method Book let’s review some ideas that we’ll be working on. You may not understand or remember everything below. You can go ahead and just work on my book without worrying about this but by watching the introduction you’ll absorb a few ideas that might be helpful and you can come back and view this as often as you like. Of course, for a better grounding in theory you’ll want to check out recommended Music Theory Books.
Here are four videos by Brad Harrison via his YouTube channel. In order to understand key signatures you need to understand scales but Harrison’s videos work well in reverse too. For my book, you just need to watch a few minutes of the key signature video to understand a few basic ideas. The rest is all extra for now. Again, just take some info in and review again later.
