Cool vid How to manage your time more effectively (according to machines) by Brian Christian via TED-Ed on YouTube. “…all the time you spend prioritizing your work is time you aren’t spending doing it…sometimes, giving up on doing things in the perfect order maybe the key to getting them done…” We’ve all encountered this, you hit a road block when practicing and get hung up on something for a long time without making any progress. The better thing to do is to switch your method and get to work. That might be changing the speed of the passage or reducing the amount of material or just doing 5 mins of work on it and then moving on to the next item. There is also a great discussion on interruptions and context switch both of which come at a cost of productivity. In particular, grouping your interruptions together to reclaim your attention and rest.
