Henderson and Farintosh Play Prelude, BWV 825 by Bach

Canadian guitarists Drew Henderson and Simon Farintosh perform Prelude from Partita No.1, BWV 825 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). This comes via Henderson’s excellent YouTube channel where he is planning more collaborations with friends and colleagues. Beautiful clean performance with excellent rhythmic pacing and voice separation. Here’s what Drew mentioned in his description:

Partita no. 1 is actually something guitarists such as Tilman Hoppstock and David Russell are playing on solo guitar, however, I think it also works as a very manageable duet piece which is fun to play! I feel that the low notes on the 8-string really help add weight especially near the end (what my theory teacher used to call “grandfather notes”). With a couple of small adjustments it is easy to play on two six string guitars though.
