Tariq Harb and Brent Crawford with U of T Guitar Ensemble

Jan-Bartlema-Concertino

Tariq Harb and Brent Crawford with the University of Toronto Guitar Ensemble directed by Jeffrey McFadden perform Jan Bartlema‘s ‘Concertino’ at Walter Hall. Excellent playing by Harb & Crawford and some nice ensemble work overall with McFadden keeping the group balanced in sound despite the obvious issues involved with having so many guitars. Concertino for 2 guitars and guitar ensemble/orchestra. Via Bartlema‘s site: “This concertino was specially composed for the Zwolle guitarfestival 2006 in the Netherlands. The concertino has 2 solo parts for the advanced player and 4 ensemble parts for the intermediate player (with optional bass guitar).”
