Grade 2 Lesson: Moderato by Mertz

This lesson comes from my new book Classical Guitar Repertoire Lessons Grade 2 – Seven pieces at the grade two level with dedicated lessons preparing you for each piece.

Moderato by Johann Kaspar Mertz (1806-1856) from his Schule für die Guitarre, 1848 – The final piece will focus on musical excitement and a mix of different technical requirements. Practice very slowly with a metronome at first and then gradually work up the tempo one day at a time.
