This lesson comes from my new book Classical Guitar Repertoire Lessons Grade 2 – Seven pieces at the grade two level with dedicated lessons preparing you for each piece. Check it out at Werner Guitar Editions.
Andantino – From Méthode complète pour Guitare, Op.59 by Matteo Carcassi (1792-1853). This Classical era piece offers a number of right hand patterns to practice and also switches from A minor to A Major halfway through the piece. All the previous key signature and scale practice should help while reading this piece. Start with some scales to refresh your knowledge of the keys.
I would love to hear you play Andantino No.4 from ale nouveau papillon, Op 5. It is a grade 2 classical guitar piece. I can’t find it on Spotify, YouTube or on your great site.
I am probably early intermediate. I have been studying from s. Rainer I methods de guitar. I’ve started on positions and play largo a and in dia de noveimbre. Do you think your second book would suit me.
I alway recommend people start below their level in case they missed anything. At worst you’ll get some good sight reading in. So Grade 1 is my recommendation.
