Grade 2 Lesson: Andantino by Carcassi

This lesson comes from my new book Classical Guitar Repertoire Lessons Grade 2 – Seven pieces at the grade two level with dedicated lessons preparing you for each piece. Check it out at Werner Guitar Editions.

Andantino – From Méthode complète pour Guitare, Op.59 by Matteo Carcassi (1792-1853). This Classical era piece offers a number of right hand patterns to practice and also switches from A minor to A Major halfway through the piece. All the previous key signature and scale practice should help while reading this piece. Start with some scales to refresh your knowledge of the keys.
