Goran Krivokapić Plays Sonata del Decamerón Negro by Brouwer

Goran Krivokapić performs Sonata del Decamerón Negro (Guitar Sonata No. 3) by Cuban composer Leo Brouwer (b.1939). This comes via his excellent YouTube channel. Sonata No.3 is dedicated to the Greek guitarist Costas Cotsiolis, and first published in 2012. Not to be confused with the 1981 work El Decamerón Negro written for Sharon Isbin. Brilliant performance by Krivokapić with intense virtuosity both in terms of rapid flourishes but also control over the sound and motifs. Also many beautiful moments of spaciousness, meditative pacing, and playful puzzle-work. One of the great sonatas and works by Brouwer.
