Emanuele Buono Plays Sonata by Antonio Jose (Complete)

Emanuele-Buono

Italian guitarist Emanuele Buono plays all four movements of the monumental Antonio Jose (1902-1936) Sonata via the Naxos Youtube Channel. I had no idea until I wrote down the dates that Jose had lived such a short life. What a shame… Maurice Ravel apparently said of Antonio José: “He will become the Spanish composer of our century.” If I’m not mistaken, guitarist and video pro Drew Henderson has been helping with these videos. It’s a fantastic treat to have all the movements so well documented sound and video-wise. You can buy Buono’s fantastic Naxos recording via Amazon: Emanuele Buono – Guitar Recital
