José (Joseph) Ferrer (1835–1916) was a Spanish guitarist and composer. This is a great little piece with lots of colour and suspensions. It sounds Spanish and explores some upper positions but is still easy to accomplish for students. There is nothing too tricky but keep your left hand position shifts clean and organized.
