Dowland Duets: My Lord Willoughby’s Welcome Home & My Lord Chamberlain, His Galliard

My Lord Willoughby’s Welcome Home & My Lord Chamberlain, His Galliard (an invention for two to play upon one lute) by John Dowland (1563–1626). Period lute duets arranged for 2 guitars in score format (three pages for Willoughby and two pages for Chamberlain). The score includes notation only and is a PDF download. Includes a fingered version for relative lute tuning (3rd string tuned to F#) and an unfingered version alternative fingering or tuning. The fingering is for relative lute tuning (3rd strings of both guitars are tuned to F#). This tuning is well worth the effort and opens up a world of Renaissance lute music to guitarists. Chamberlain can be played on either two guitars or on one guitar with two players. The level is late-intermediate or advanced depending on the tempo. Big thanks to Douglas Hensley for joining me.
