The excellent Duo Cavatina play Sonata E Major for flute and continuo, BWV 1035, by Johann Sebastian Bach. Eugenia Moliner, flute and Denis Azabagic – guitar. Live recording at the International Gliwice Guitar Festival. Nice realization of the continuo line for guitar. If you are unfamiliar with basso continuo, or figured bass, it was a common Baroque practice of writing a bass line with indications for the chords to be “realized” or improvised at the performer’s discretion. There is a wealth of such material just waiting for guitarists.
