Canadian guitarist Ben Diamond plays Night Spirit Suite (2008) by Canadian composer Andrew Staniland (b.1977). This comes via Diamond’s YouTube. A well-title work for this Halloween night post! Staniland has written a number of solo and ensemble works for guitar including the excellent solo Full Circle and the duet I featured a few weeks ago. Night Spirit Suite is composed of 5 short pieces for solo Classical Guitar: I. Sandman; II. Ancient Ghosts; III. The Creaking Tree; IV. Full Moon Lullaby; V. Scary Clowns.
