Ave Maria by Schubert for Guitar (Lesson and PDF)

Ave Maria for Guitar by Franz Schubert (1787–1828). – PDF sheet music and tab for classical guitar. Includes a notation-only edition and a tab edition. The level is early-intermediate (approximately Grade 4).

Sheet Music or TAB Edition from my store:

Ave Maria by Schubert is one of the most famous classical themes in music. It’s also an excellent choice for gigs and weddings. The aim of this arrangement is to provide students and gigging guitarists with a basic version of the work. However, many rhythmic and harmonic aspects of the piece have been omitted to make it as easy as possible while still providing a running eighth note texture. The melody is in the top voice (stems up) and should be played as legato as possible. Sustain all accompaniment notes within each half note chord regardless of the rhythmic notation. Play the accompaniment softly to expose the melody and make the ad hoc nature of the accompaniment less noticeable. YouTube Lesson Link.
