Anton Baranov plays Carillon by Terzi

Anton Baranov, Guitar

Russian guitarist Anton Baranov plays Carillon by Italian composer/guitarist Benvenuto Terzi (1892-1980). Cute piece, rather silly really but looks like a good etude for left hand slurs and right hand harmonics and certainly the effect is of interest. You might recognize Terzi’s name from his Carulli editions of past but publisher Berben Edizioni Musical (via Angelo Gilardino) has a collection of his works titled Opere Scelte by Benvenuto Terzi. Baranov was the 2013 Guitar Foundation of America Competition winner and has also won more than 20 other prestigious contests around the globe.
