Fabio Zanon gives us an introduction to composer Georg Schmitz and his new work Wie Die Nacht Übers Land Kommt (trans. Zanon knows his stuff and Desiderio’s playing is amazing as usual: virtuosic but with beautiful phrasing and colouring.
