Aniello Desiderio Plays Tarantella by Bellafronte

The amazing Italian guitarist Aniello Desiderio and Salvatore Minale (percussion) play a new version of Tarantella for guitar and percussion by Italian composer Raffaele Bellafronte (b. 1961). This comes via Teatro Rossetti‘s YouTube. Here’s a quote about the piece via Steve Marsh (Classical Guitar Magazine) “This particular tarantella has a rather infectious tune which stays in the head afterwards and this melodic line is underscored with some attractive dissonances here and there, the whole reminiscent of circus/fairground music. With the 5th and 6th strings tuned to G and D respectively and lots of flying around the fingerboard at pace…Good fun.”
