Anabel Montesinos Plays Preludio in E Major by Ponce

Spanish guitarist Anabel Montesinos performs Preludio in E Major by Manuel Ponce (1882-1948). This comes via Altamira Guitars and their YouTube channel. You can also see Montesinos’ full concert on YouTube. This work was inspired by Baroque music, Bach and Weiss in particular with a whole story of false attribution in connection with Segovia’s performances and commissioning of the work. Great performance by Montesinos with crisp articulations and rhythmic momentum.

This work also has a version for guitar and harpsichord as heard below by Adam Holzman and Stephanie Martin.
