Polish guitarist Marcin Dylla plays Valse Romantique from Polish composer Aleksander Tansman’s Hommage à Chopin, for guitar (1966). As Chopin was also from from Poland, this is triple-Polish! This comes via the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA. You can also check out the GSI on their YouTube channel. This video is played on a historic guitar – the 1947 Robert Bouchet that was the second guitar he ever built and the first he sold. Alexandre Tansman (1897–1986) was a Polish-born French composer and virtuoso pianist. Dylla is in good form here as always, navigating the tricky texture with ease. I bet this would sound even better on a modern instrument with tons of open sustain and sound (think pedal down on piano). Still great though.
